Multimodal Transportation

While Piedmont Together recognizes the importance of accessible public transportation, we know it will require the involvement of several communities to contribute to a more connected region. One city in our region is already well on its way to making public transit more seamless with the creation of a multimodal transportation station that links passenger rail with bus transit. Located in Davidson County, Lexington received a Tiger II (Transportation Infrastructure Investment Grants) Planning Grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation in 2011.
