Small is Big: Planning for Prosperity

On June 17th, the City of Greensboro and the North Carolina chapter of the American Planning Association will host a day-long event titled "Small is Big." The event will focus on the changing way things are manufactured in our region. Small manufacturing represents real opportunities to support jobs and economic vitality in communities of all sizes in the Piedmont Triad. 

The day will include presentations, panels, tours and lunch time speaker Beth Macy, author of Factory Man. The day will begin at 9:00 AM at the Empire Room (203 S. Elm Street, Greensboro) and will conclude at 3:30 PM. Macy will also hold a book signing at 3:30 PM at Scuppernong Books located at 304 S. Elm Street, Greensboro. Registration is $35 and includes lunch. Registration for just the lunch time speaker is also available for $10.
